March 19 – A Routine Day, But a Happy One
Today is March 19, and my morning weight was 72.85 kg—just a slight decrease.
It felt like a routine day because, unlike the past two days, my husband and Scotty didn’t wake me up. I felt a little sad because I enjoy it when they wake me up. Still, I got up at 5:15 AM, went downstairs, and started my day.
I drank two glasses of lukewarm water and took my thyroid medicine, then made my ginger, jeera, ajwain, and cinnamon concoction.
Morning Meal Prep
Today, my son had a half-day at school, so I didn’t have to prepare lunch for him—just a snack (banana), which required no prep. I prepped his breakfast, which was strawberry shake, and then soaked chia seeds in water for myself.
For my husband’s lunch, I made a three-egg omelette with onion, capsicum, mushroom, ginger, green chilies, and Chululu sauce. Later in the day, he told me that it was very tasty and that he really liked it. I told him I’d make it once or twice a week for him.
Then, I prepared the soaked nuts for my son and made tea for my husband and coffee for myself and my son.
Morning Routine & Walk
After that, I went upstairs to change into my walking clothes and woke up my son. My husband was already taking a bath.
While coming downstairs, I brought the laundry and put it in the machine, but I decided not to do the laundry today.
Then my husband and son came downstairs, and we enjoyed our drinks together before my husband left for work.
For my son’s lunch, I made chicken curry and thought about making wraps later—maybe for today’s dinner or tomorrow’s lunch.
Then, we went upstairs for my son to get ready for school. He got ready, had breakfast, and left for school on the bus. I then went for my morning walk.
Walk Reflection
Today, I met four people and greeted all of them. It felt so good—it’s such a simple but powerful habit that spreads love.
After coming home, I took a shower, joined office work, and made coffee for myself. I enjoyed my coffee and then started working.
Work Updates
📌 My husband pinged me that he had a meeting and would talk to me later, so I just replied with a "Hi."
📌 I checked the issue Rupali and I were testing yesterday—it was still not working, so I informed her. She said she would fix it and let me know.
📌 I worked on the issue that Dilkushi and I were handling, but it was still not resolved, so I updated her. She also said she would fix it and let me know.
Since I was free, I continued reading The Alchemist.
📌 In between, I gave breakfast to Scotty.
📌 Rupali later asked me to contact Braba to fix an issue, which he did, and I was able to resolve the ticket.
📌 I’m still waiting for Dilkushi to fix the issue.
📌 In Tosca UAT, the self-serve regression was not working. I informed Steve, who asked me to contact Suvarna, who then pointed me to the developers. I escalated it to them, but it is still not working, so now I’m waiting.
A Small Gardening Attempt & A Divine Moment
🌿 Today, when I went outside, I saw that the garden beds needed cleaning. I thought I’d do a little gardening for the first time, but I couldn’t find the khurpa (weeding tool). I have no idea where Scotty has kept it. I had some free time and wanted to do it, but it didn’t work out—maybe God didn’t want me to.
🙏 Remember the mantra I was talking about yesterday? The one ChatGPT provided wasn’t completely the same as the one I used to recite as a child. Today, during my morning prayers, I tried reciting it, and to my surprise, I remembered the entire mantra correctly! I felt so happy!
Evening Updates
📌 My son came home, and I served him chapati and chicken gravy. He liked it a lot.
📌 I also gave food to Scotty.
